    He HELPED??

As opposed to standing around playing with himself watching?

I personally can do without the productivity loss from having to drag the human equivalent of a boat anchor around all day.

Shoot man. The dude is in great shape. He didn't want to be out all day. Neither did I.

Take an hour and a half break when he tags along.. If he says anything about it hand him the keys.

    “time card theft” lol.

Update: Everything went fine. He said it was just company policy and went with several drivers this week.

    Why worry?

I got a laugh out of a driver who stopped in the Indiana yard and was headed up to Mt Clemens north of detroit. I had to get back home and he had a lot of time on the clock to drop me off at my exit.

well he got the word I was going to hitch a ride with him and he told safety girl that he is getting the hell out of dodge, and hustled to get out of the office. He thought I was in the shop, but I was sitting in the truck just finished my phone call. so he threw his crap in the sleeper through the sleeper door and ran around the truck to get into it without seeing me. He jumped into the truck didn’t look at who was sitting in the passenger seat and started the truck. He released the brakes, jammed it into gear looking out his window and started to drive without his seatbelt on.

so of course I said “you need to put your seatbelt on before you hit the gate”

I never saw someone jump so high in a drivers seat, he almost hit the ceiling in a condo truck.

As someone who's been on that side of the phone, the whining gets old, really fast. That and the guys who have had their hands held at every step and are therefore unable to make the simplest decisions without calling in.
