I know this is an old fashioned and totally out of date attitude but I don't think I could drive for a company that judged my driving by a AI camera. Too many variables.
Truck drivers are, for the most part, rational human beings. They should be treated as such.

That agenda is slowly becoming a reality.

if all your going to do is grade someone driving based on a insurance guideline , and not by there ability to do it day in day out , in all sorts of weather and traffic , and then turn around and punish them for not following the exact letter of your list , good luck .
fyi - my company threaten me with a write up and such for some of those rules on that list , and it got resolved when the owner got involved . 2 more years of this BS and i'm done

I think that's a major part of the problem, that list is not unbelievable at all. Taken separately and spread throughout a driver's working day there is no possible way that you could avoid ticking some of those boxes.
The trucking companies and the insurance companies want mindless, soulless, unquestioning robots. We're not far from that now.
I used to encourage young people to look at driving as a good career path. I quit doing that. They'd be better off as the second assistant solids skimmer at the sewer works.

Would love to see the office people get graded for how much the ####noff during the day. Stops to talk to a co worker points stop to scratch something points. Anything that isn’t productive they get points and then a video to watch. How about that. Maybe robots replacing office workers would be a better option and easier. Maybe cheaper?
