They did? Because I remember housing and lumber and fuel being a lot lower a year ago. Maybe I have bad memory.

Yea you have a bad memory. What was lumber 4 years ago?
And guess what. Lumber dropped 40% last month.
Apparently you can't remember the havoc the pandemic has caused either.
Or the laws of supply and demand. -

I was $60k all in on a gut and remodel last year. Was offered $115k for it but I’d rather build a shop next to my paid for house instead of cashing out.
I only think it’s funny how you’re always “orange man bad” but you’re the first to complain about housing increases where you live. You guys brought it on yourselves while the rest of us made money during a strong economy and saved it or paid down debt because we knew what would happen if the outcome was unfavorable for us.Roberts450 and Rubber duck kw Thank this. -

Last year it was insanely cheap to travel. Under $2 for gas, hotels and Airbnb’s could be had for dirt cheap. I was going different places and staying at Airbnb’s for about $60 a night. I could go explore different parts of the country and hardly see anyone, it was great.
And I didn’t see people fleeing non-lockdown states and infiltrating your state to affect your housing market that you complain about.
I really shouldn’t complain though because as long as they’re pushing the vaccine on us then the emergency declaration will have to be in effect until FDA approval so that means the HOS exemption will remain in place.
But I’ll concede to you. Everything is so much better now. You are right, I am wrong. Everything is roses and there’s no inflation or dangers of a possible recesssion/depression.T.Rucker and Rubber duck kw Thank this. -

Oh I don't know. Still boils down to the pandemic.
Oil demand is up 400% since it started. So much for cheap gas. For now.
It don't matter who is there. The results would have been the same before, during,, and after.
BTW. We're not the only state effected by the housing bubble.
