Clearly there has been a bunch of articles of the marcellus shale region, i'm just trying to figure something out real quick. The supervisor over at Smith & Solomon told me they can get me a job with a marcellus shale company, I have yet to find the answer to what I would be getting paid about and my hours? I heard from one of my friends his son is out there working for an oilfield he works 14 days in a row 12 hour days comes home every night then he gets a 7 day break getting paid 22 bucks an hour.

He said the job was at chesapeke energy? If soo, that sounds like a dream job, I'm from the Scranton area and would personally commute too and from work if I was getting that kind of money, hours and work.

Hawg Hauling is chesapeakes water hauling division, I heard chesapeake pulled half their equipment out of PA.

Gas prices are very low and work is sketchy up here right now, I was at a site yesterday and they were doing a rig move which is normal...but taking that said rig to texas is not....

I make 18 an hour now I just got a raise and an assigned truck, but were very slow right now and I work 14 hours a day 5 to 7 days a week hauling water when were working but right now were very slow...

Logan, have you noticed Hawg Hauling is now Oilfield Services, wonder what the name change was all about? I haul fresh water for a handful of Range rigs over here by Washington and we stay busy, but we have a lot of residential customers as well plus the rigs are on an everyday, or every other day schedule.

Sounds to me like your friend is roughnecking that schedule sounds right for that. But don't expect 22 an hour right off in worms corner that's floor hand or mud man wage.

    Logan76 Thanks this.

Work for Patterson UTI drilling, don't expect to drive though you'll be a rig hand. From what I gather they start around 20 an hour and offer a 14 on 14 off schedule and will pay for your exepenses to get to and from the rig.

    Logan76 Thanks this.
