I think some are getting a little heated. I think we all will agree we all want to drive the safest for the weather conditions of the road, and pull over when it is warranted. The issue is at what speed people feel it is safe to travel. Personally on ice, I'd drive chain speed, or slower. But that is just cuz I've not done it yet.

My schedule would have had me there on i80 in Wyo on Sun/Mon, but I looked at the weather AGAIN and took i90 to Tacoma instead.
Plan your route. Life is precious -
That bit between Laramie and Rawlins is always the worst.
That's why I go REAL early in the morning. Not uncommon for me to go at 0200 or 0300. Cause all them professionals are still fast asleep.
There's lots of pics chained up going over mountains with 6 or 7 percent grades, solid ice, night time, no professionals around.
When I can't make headway, I'll open a can of chili someplace.
Don't be getting mad either I just recovered psychologically and emotionally from the last time you were mad. -
And this huge crash won't slow those that crash down at all either.
I was posted up in Rawlins for two days once cause of wind, light load restriction.
Talked to half a dozen guys that completely disregarded that. And half of them stated they thought for sure they were going over.
It's not WHY-OH-MING fault.
