Two Ford F 150 trucks with Wilson 1000 magnet mount antennas in center of roof hooked up to stock Cobra 29 LTD Classic with stock 4 watts of RF power, stock modualation, being able to communicate 15 to 20 miles apart , I guess based on my experience that would be considered impressive. You are the only individual in 20 years that has ever boasted about these great transmit distances and that is not calling you a liar, it is just that I have never experienced the same results, and once again please dont tell us it is because of the tune because a radio is a radio and only so much can be done to it to improve its performance.

There's lots of different factors that affect receive. If you're running a cheap Square wave inverter in your truck it's going to create receive problems in your radio. If you're parked underneath high power lines it's going to create receive problems in your radio. Having a pl259 that won't make a proper electrical connection will create receive problems in your radio. There's lots of factors but there's no such thing as a magic pill that will solve everyone's problems. I always recommend getting the most out of a Cobra 29 before they waste their money on a big radio. If someone can't reach out 15 to 20 miles on a quiet night with a Cobra 29 they have some serious antenna problems that need to be addressed before they can move up to bigger and better things.

Evvy was unhappy in the beginning because he didn't have the knowledge necessary to troubleshoot his problem. Once he got a new truck he realized his old truck was the problem.
It's pretty typical for the guys who complain to be the ones with the least amount of antenna knowledge and troubleshooting experience -
That's a kind of a stupid question considering I didn't even know Mark at the time it was a stock walkie talkie without any modifications
-
That's not going to happen on a noisy day with lots of skip coming in but it's easy to make it happen on a quiet night when nobody else is talking
-
man I'm not the one who brought up these 5 radio's another member on here did.talk to him....I don't know who they are and I don't care......my s--t works just fine....you keep telling me about some instructions given to me from mark and none where talked about or needed. but you won't let it go....your the one who's making the situation worse and not letting it die..
-

well your a god about everything else so naturally your a antenna god too. unless you were to see all these drivers antenna setups you have nothing to pass judgement about.
-
you always have a excuse about everything and your always back peddling.... sad sad sad

not much of anything is impressive to me in this world...like I've said your the only one on the site who seems to get all this receive range outta a radio. personally I don't give a crap most times the person your talking to on the other end is a moron or fool who has no common sense about anything in this world.. the United states is jacked up because of stupidity and people wih no common sense and our so called leaders who don't have a lick of common sensewolverine11 Thanks this.
