All I talk about is reality. If you're unable to make a Cobra 29 talk 15 miles and I often hear them talking 30 miles barefoot then it sounds like you have a huge antenna problem.
Definitely not ready for Big Stuff

Lots of guys talk all around the world on a quarter watt and if you can't stalk 15 miles on for Watts then you have some issues that need to become resolved before you work your way up to the bigger stuff

' did it ever occur to you or anybody else there might be people no matter who they are who are happy to just talk 5 miles.. .if I talked 35/45 miles every time I keyed up it would probably still be a idiot on the other end. just the same as at 5/10 miles...I could care less if I talked 25/35 or 20/25... what's really being accomplished here that matters in this world... nobody on here no matter who they are have helped Craig accomplish anything and he hasn't gained even 5 miles of receive at all. like I've said they'll find Bigfoot or the loch Ness monster first still Lmao

Did it ever occur to you that your radio talked all over the country on the Maco V5000, but mysteriously, it's problems only began when connected to your antenna in your truck. Yes I'm aware there are plenty of folks with low expectations that are perfectly happy. There are easier ways to get up to 65 mph than adding a rocket engine to your vehicle while chained to a 10,000 pound weight.
Much easier to dump the weight. (Then you won't need the rocket engine)
    Easy way is always cheaper.

The part that seems to go over your head is the amount of power you needed in order to be heard by the other station, and the amount of power the other station needed to overcome your noisy receiver. 2 cobra 29's are perfectly capable of doing the same thing for a fraction of the price if both rigs have a low enough noise floor.
