I'm not here to Pat myself on the back. There's plenty of people that know more than I do about designing and building and troubleshooting antenna systems. I'm just here to offer help if anybody needs it but if someone who knows more than I do about troubleshooting antenna systems offers you help I'll be more than happy to back down and let that person help you ..The difference between you and I is that I recognize my own limitations.
I'm also capable of rational thought.

you have no point what's really being accomplished you have a fancy mfj analyser ???

 

I'm not sure if you're friends with Daryl Stillwell or not but I'm sure you've heard him in DX land at least you've heard his noise toy In His Radio watch what happens when a guy running 5000 Watt splatterbox out of a mobile has a difficult time competing with 60 watts off of a base antenna.. Hopefully you find this educational.

 

a rational thought is common sense and I don't do anything that doesn't make common sense... putting that big massive stud on.theottom stud. your idea was a good idea and made common sense so I did it... the difference between you and I is your more hard core at everything not there's anything wrong with that.... I just don't let any of it take me off the deep end.... like Craig and his situation he's consumed by it .. lol but then again he knows he is !!!!!

I don't miss those noise toys at all but they were part of the old days.. not so sure I want to watch that video... it might give me nightmares lol

 

well time for a nap I can't even spell write off the last 2/3 posts I made....

 

Darrel parked right across the street from Mark thinking he would make him look bad by keying up over him and I sure he had some friends and some other state making a recording but it all backfired on him because none of those people were able to hear him over Craigs old radio barefoot. I don't remember Daryl's numbers but if you listen to the people trying to talk back they're all shouting 163 instead of Daryl's numbers. He's one of those key down types that drives a truck and talks on all 40 channels at the same time that was why Mark was turning the channel selector so you could see the bleed over at the beginning of the video.

 

The point was that ground wave propagation and skywave propagation meant absolutely nothing to you and are not part of your vocabulary. It's kind of critical to understand these things And how they work before trying to have a discussion about them.
