If it performs better and holds up well there eventually be a market. Problem is for a marketer to hold on long enough.

Testing will reveal all..
Ridgeline,i was half kidding and half serious.. -
Another good idea is a dumb down ant book...Antennas for dummys..
You,rabbi and hard drive have told me stuff and i totally appreciate it but i get lost with the big words n such..slim6596 Thanks this. -
I just got a text on Facebook from one of Marks customers who lives about an hour and a half away from me and this is what he said and the picture he sent....
"Long distance radio check my general hp40 to our loader operator he has marks 955 stryker"
Sounds like another happy customer. 48 Miles mobile to mobile Barefoot is pretty cool it sounds pretty typical. This just goes to show the potential when you have one of Mark's radios on both sides of the conversation it allows you to put more distance between the two radios and still maintain communication both ways.Last edited: Jul 30, 2016
Reason for edit: Better receive equates to Greater distance between stationsslim6596 Thanks this. -
That guy had a cool idea about the screenshot I never even thought about doing such a thing so here goes.
Long distance communication on Channel 19 from my Volvo 770 to Marks base antenna with a mountain in between us. -
So what kind of crazy "magic" does this guy do to a cheap CB radio to get these miracle distances without propogation? LOL
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -

Reason for edit: Raising frequency response above the tone of noise -
In all fairness in my particular circumstances I was running 150 watts into a homemade beam antenna off a Volvo 770 and I was talking to someone running 800 Watts from a base antenna.

Makes me effing sick...Unless im skipping im 3/5 mi at best..Dont know what else to do with out massive changes on my truck..
RABBI..Just had a thought...You mentioned heat shrinking the shaft of your ant..What if i wrapped my ant mount shaft (remember i have the 40" shaft under my predator 22" shaft)with a ground strap and then heat shrinked it,will the ant see that as more metal for ground plane or will i end up makeing my ant a base load of sorts...OOOORRRRR will the ant see that as tuning of sorts..
