Lol...Hey ya never know what works..It was somethin to try but its been rainin cats n dogs here in ontario canada..No idea if its doin anything or not..

Yeap it was the swamp dik..Saw him tryin to tune a k40 on a volvo and gave up with a 1.7 swr...People standin around chattin to him..Guy on a ladder as he was tryin to tune,trucks in front and back..No friggin wonder...
Tried to tell me run a 5 ft tiger ant and lean it 45 degree...I said no the signal is degraded and lost goin into the ground..He said well it work..I said nooooo it dont..I gave up and left laughin..

 

yeah he's a piece of work. but he's always good for a laugh.like most of these cb shop owners and so called techs. I'm not a phone or computer person really but I'll try to get you some pics of how my doors are grounded . and my radio is setup .

 

Bord..I just found some wire braid outta old coax that i made usefull while i was tinkering netwwen rain drops..
Bolts feel like cheap aluminum with plastic like washer..I didnt have anything i could scuff up the paint on them a lil..Thats partly why i said i doubt it will make any diff but i was bored ao figured i would try for fun..Im sure its a fluke but my radio was loaded with skip all over the usa..Even 19 tonight was nuts,38 on lsb,nothin on tripple nickle..6 was busy and so were a good few of the other channels in general..

 

Proper flat braided straps i have to order from some shop..Surprizeingly so few and small around town...

 

yeah the thick really good ground strap is very hard to find....ordering it is the way to go. I don't go home often but when I do I usually have 3/4 boxes of radio equipment waiting 4/me ...when you run a linear or amp like I do...most all amp builders will tell you to ground everything and then do some more grounding !!!
