    The military techs are the worst when it comes to tuning these cheaply built rigs.
    Military stuff is manufactured to high tolerances and consumer stuff is built to sloppy tolerances. Each radio requires different components to achieve the same result unlike military stuff .
    The military guys are simply Parts changers.
    I was a sonar technician in the Navy so I know.

    Nope..Bottomn is the jacked up usps radio and top one is the one i have had for a cpl yrs..If you watch the vid look at the radio screen name..Its the company i work for and trk #..
    As for my original it was bought and tuned by rick from ricks tadio in carlisle..A yr or more later i had a tx star 350 hdv matched to it by dtb also in carlisle..I never tried it out but told they make about 400 watt..I never hooked it up till i was to get my range issue settled....Then about 6 months after dtb worked on it i got wolfmans in georgia to dbl chk it..They replaced pills,cleaned up the amp and cpl lil tiny transisters were replace..They showed me the difference as to what worked and what wasnt..Anyway cpl hundy later i got the freshened up 350 @ 375 w output..Still to this day i never hooked it up..Bought it for $125..Another $100 or so to fix up what dtb said was fine and rematched..Now its a paper weight..New pills,cpl transisters,power wire upgrade(thicker ga)and quick connect..I was told to ask $250 for it..Gotta recover some of my costs..

    Did you do component level testing and replacement or were you a card puller?

    When pressed for time it was always simpler to yank cards and replace cards but if we had plenty of time on our hands we did do component-level testing

    Talked to mark anout the amped up 955..More to it than adding amp case..Never got any specifics but lets just say ill be getting my version of a virgin porn star lol..
    Im on the short list..
    Trying to come up with a name for it rather than the frankin 955..
    Thinkin the "Stryker 955 ms(power rated # here)..ex Stryker 955 ms 300..
    Stryker sr 955 ms300 and have serial #'ed..

    Sounds good.

    Most of the ETs I worked with, I know you are an ST, seemed to get into trouble when they tried CL work, a few could not do much more than read a meter.

    Were you an STS or STG?

    Not bad v244t..I like it..to make it more exclusive,even more than it will be as is,each one ahould have its own #..Have it registered to a specific person..
