have you unplugged cord from the tractor?

  4. I have a,387. Also. On your frame rail driverside just below cab. Between 5th wheel and cab. uploadfromtaptalk1420866398089.jpg uploadfromtaptalk1420866483183.jpg Is your fuse box for trailer. Top of first column is 3 30 amp fuses. As well as on on right side top. I went through 5 fuses to find a wire in trailer rail was grounding out on the trailer. If any are blown. Its a short in trailer wire.

thank you for taking and sharing that picture! I will keep that in mind.

i seemed to have fixed it tho. I did so many random things yesterday while troubleshooting, and one if not all of them worked.

i replaced the bulb on my driver side cab just under my door, it actually went out went I was messing around down there taking each bulb out to test the circuit. That bulb may have been the culprit...,

i also replaced the turn signal switch ($120) as suggested, and that didn't seem to fix it at first, but after setting all night, maybe it calibrated itself and played a part in fixing the circuit.

i sanded down the electrical connection on the tractor side on trailer side pigtail hookups.

it was still 7 degrees when I woke up this morning, not -8 like it had been, that may or may not have played a part.

i prayed, lol, seriously, just on some meditation and listening to the most high. Yes sir.

And I've run my lights off and on all day today, there's no voltage jumping, and all is brighter and stronger than before. I even left them on for over 3 hours earlier in the day, and just drove with them to get to where I am stopping for the night.

Thanks to all that helped, I really appreciate it, maybe this will help someone else out there...

I'm going nuts with the similar problem, my clearance lights on trailer went out, everything else is working fine, I spent the whole day looking for that fuse box and didn't find it, I've been looking everywhere, I've tried to follow cable from plug, and still no box :'( . Does anybody had the same problem, any suggestions? Model is 387 2007.

When you say you had found the turn signal switch to the be the problem? How were you able to establish that it was? Was it bad or broken or some how tested and you had the result? Looking for some help on my 2000 Freightliner Century Classic - Thank you.
