Since the son has taken over the company, the big focus has been "where can we shave costs". The drivers go MONTHS without paychecks, and they just recently made it harder to get advances. You have to call in and beg for it. You MIGHT get one before they go home to their nice warm houses - IF you are lucky. The company is going down the tubes and the only one making money is the one at the top.

MONTHS with out a paycheck? Who is dumb enough to work that long without being paid?
bigdogpile Thanks this. -
The drivers are trapped - trying to get themselves "out of hock", so they don't leave a large bill behind - in other cases, Doug sweet talks them into staying with empty promises, then it is "business as usual" once they get out on the road. After a couple times they realize it is a cycle. Since their pay and reputation is poor, some of the drivers are there because they can't get hired anywhere else.

Getting out of hock means driver's already gotten an advance which needs to be repaid in the form of cash or labor, right? I'd quit and jump over to one of the big non-profit trucking firms that dont care about costs if I were you.

Anonymousproxy and Jumbo Thank this.

Me too, if I worked at a place where I was getting screwed on paychecks for few weeks in a row, I'd would've been GONE after the first month.

You can't get out of hock going months without a paycheck. I'd quit after the first missed check. I'd more than likely have another job within days of quitting. Cheat me once, shame on you. Cheat me twice, well you know the rest...

obviously no one is going months without a paycheck, I would guess there are a couple things happening. do you drive 10,000 miles a month or so on average?- few people I know make a good living without driving 10,000 miles or so on a monthly basis. do you take extra advances? the first of Feb we took off our automatic advances of 150.00 every Sunday for our leasers.. according to accounting, less than 1/2 of the folks used them anyway. there has been no one "beg", because you can still get them. all it does in my opinion, is make everyone's paychecks bigger.- still the same money in the end, but easier for everyone to account for the fewer transactions that are made. please contact me if you are having troubles making a go of it. if you do feel you are getting screwed on paychecks, then you need to come in and figure things out as to why you are not making paychecks. or driving the miles.

Well I am going home on the greyhound after being run around in circles for several weeks and SEXUALLY propositioned by your so-called lead dispatcher and I am going to find and send a copy of the Facebook messages to every customer I can locate. That man is a PIG and nobody picked up the ohine been once to ask me if I still wanted that amazing.position i was propositioned with! And the guy is still working for you?!?!? Seriously!!!!! I posted it in truckers report...Google reviews....and already finding.customers. That arrogant piece of dirt sent me Qualcomm messages using language referencing my regional affiliation and I don't like him and why don't you care that he is nasty? I have lost time and money and I have children!
