Tell the recruiter there you and your wife want to run teams and you want to be her trainer.
I'd also contact Big M Transportation; not sure how they operate teams though; not much information on this forum about the company.

 

Thank you so much for the info. I called Leonard's. They told me I would need 6 months OTR before I could come on without having to go out with a trainer, and then it would be up to management after that as to when I could train my wife. I called Big M and they want a year of driving.

I've called a lot of other places. There are a couple you recommended to me in another thread that I'm still waiting to hear back from. Thank you again for your help.

 

Big M used to take new cdl school grads. Insurance must have gone up.
As far as Leonard's, you already have some experience, so get started with Leonards now and your wife can join you when she graduates.

Thanks for the info. I reached out to them and am waiting to hear back. Do you, or does anyone else, know what the sleeping arrangement is like at Covenant when there are three people on the truck? I saw a post in another thread that said they thought Covenant puts the trainer and trainees in separate hotel rooms, but that was a few a years ago, and they weren't certain about it then. I've found numerous posts and Youtube videos about their team driving/training, but nothing I've seen so far specifically addresses that issue

 

Did you start the other thread? How is it going? Where did you all end up and I am in the same boat, GF and I are looking to jump in together. I am retired Law Enforcement after 27 years, I figured I gave enough. Any recommendations, how did training go etc.
