Married Hazmat team with questions

    We are a husband/wife team with hazmat endorsement. We got our CDL in January and hired on with our company in February. In almost 6 months of driving, our biggest mileage week was 6100 miles. We rarely get 5000 miles, usually 3000-3800 a week. This can't be normal. Also our pay is 32 CPM split. We are seriously considering looking else where. Before the new HOS laws, we would run our clock out reset and do it again. Now we run on recap but the loads we get always has us sitting at shippers or receivers waiting. We run expedite loads but we see no difference with our miles. Also at .32, we think that's terribly low for a team. Oh, we run for Schneider. Great training company but pay is too low and miles are crappy. Please help with any ideas of where to go. Thanks

    Us xpress teams do fairly well. Not a top end company but they.are pretty good for teams. Especially husband and wife teams with hazmat. They are 48cpm split for hazmat teams. When I ran hazmat teams with them the miles were always there. I just had problems getting home to see my wife. But since you two are together I wouldn't imagine your trying to get home as often

    32 cpm is extremely low and I thought Werner was bad,they pay teams 34 cpm.What your company is paying is what solos receive with many companies.People say pay is better with teams.How do they figure.Sure you may receive a lot of miles But who wants to drive for 15 or so cpm.As long as you team you wont get the pay.I don't know why companies pay so low and get away with it.My boyfriend wants to team when I decide to go back otr but I already told him no.

    Conway truckload pays teams 45cpm to start and goes up to 50cpm. I can't speak for the team miles, but I doubt youd be disappointed with your check.
