Wondr why Fleet #6 now has missed getting me home on time for the last 3 times, and yes i do put in the req, 3-4 weeks out. I even put in at Halloween, to be home on Dec 22nd for start of two week vacation.
Since they got rid of missed home time pay, more and more dispatchers are having a field day, keep drivers out past their requested home time. And could care less thana rat's ### about a drivers personal life, ie? set appoinemnts, reservations.
Marten is fast joining the ranks of every other frieght hauler out here.
No more missed home time pay,
FORCED PERDIEM, that we have to pay the admin cost for, otr drivers running more and more regioanl runs.
Allowing new hires to get onto a regioanl fleet over those who have been here 5-6 years, and wants to try regional in thier area. Not a west coast driver stuck on the east coast/ midwest. and vice versa.
Since Tim KOhl came over from Knight, he made it his mission to screw the drivers every which way,, and he expects those below him to follow suit.
My Marten is rolling in his grave.
probly going to **** can this dispatcher, once i get home. -
I'm on fleet #6. Make good miles. Home on time every time. In-fact I ask if I could go home early this time and she said yes. No prob. I do my job and run legal. Don't give her a hard time. She knows I will run 500-600 miles every day. Will work my 14hrs every day I'm out. No question. She is a great FM. Just requires you to do your job right and by Marten rules. They tried to move me and I told them I would quit if they did.

Marten wasn't bad for the month and a hlaf I worked for them. Had to leave after some family issue's. I averaged 2500 miles a week and only sat once. Never had a problem getting home because of the $50 a day for every day that you late getting home. Wasn't bad at all. The QC and paper work seem's to be ### backwards compaired to the way other companies operate and takes some getting used to but other than that not shabby. Good truck's too if you can get into something with a Cat in it. The one I had was a pullin' SOB for being cut down to 63. No the truck's really don't run 65, they just say they do but they really aren't.
