In case I failed to mention it to you, earlier -- a coworker of mine drove for Marten previously for several years.
When we talked about them....he had nothing bad to say.
Said coworker is just the kind of driver everyone wants on their fleet, too.

I said that’s fine.
But I expected a reefer with them.
So I dunno how good their DryVan account? -
Since they have a minimum weekly pay guarantee -- I would not be too concerned about dry van vs reefer.
If you can get it with Marten -- go ahead and take it.

It’s crazy that I actually prefer DryVan since I hate the wait at the docks but thought reefer would be more steady in this economy but like you said there is a guarantee pay at least
Hoping for the best.ducnut Thanks this. -
To avoid a bad experience -- make sure you understand/follow the driver's criteria for the weekly pay guarantee.
These criteria should be stipulated for you....somewhere...either on the Marten website...or in your paperwork (or both).
Basically...just be sure to hold up your end of the bargain.

If my math is anywhere near correct -- Marten will have enough dry van freight for you to stay there....for AT LEAST one year.
If you can stay there longer than that -- you will look MUCH BETTER....to later CDL employers.
You really need 2 years (minimum) CDL experience....to break into the best of the CDL job market....in many cases.
My understanding is that driver tenure is better than average over at Marten....so sticking around shouldn't be too hard for you.
Suggestion: be good to them....and they will very likely be good to you.

I’m a very hard worker and a runner, willing to stay as long OTR as needed, won’t whine about home time or bad loads good loads, driving night non of that.
I just prefer longer run like every other truckers I believe and I need to get paid correct for my work.ducnut Thanks this. -
Holding up my end and bargain. -
What I really meant was....read/understand the driver criteria for the weekly minimum pay (mentioned/discussed above)....make sure you understand them....then do them, weekly.
You should then make (at least) the minimum weekly pay guarantee.
I don't think those criteria will be hard to follow.
-- Lducnut Thanks this.
