20 years in the office that is.
He has no clue how the current conditon is for the drivers. Of course he is going to say everything possible in order to attract me drivers to come pull thier regional frieght.
When i started here 7 years ago, i was getting 3,000 miles aweek with no problem. Do a short couple of runs, then get a long 2000 mile run.
    Now it's turned around.
DO 5-6 SHORT RUNS, THAT MITE ADD UP TO 2000 aweek. The only time i see a run that is around 2000 miles run, is the runs that brings me out of the house, and gets me home. The rest of the time, im stuck running the midwest circle jerk regional and rail loads out of Chicago.
You tell me rngross, how one is to make a house payment, pay the bills on 2000 miles aweek?
When they started the Western regioanl 4 years ago, i told them i'd like to try it. Oh we aren't hiring for it right now, or we don't need anyone . Yet when i get out to Ontraio, guess what i'm doing regioanl runs in so. cal to phoenix, before io get my load to Cen/ Nor Cal that gets me home to Reno. Yet there are at least 4 loads a week right out of Ontraio going to Walmart east of Reno, i used to always get. Yes we still do those loads, cause they go right thru the town i live in, and have seen the trucks drive thru town going towards Reno.
Each time i go to Phoenix where they do oreintation now, 9-10 new hires getting hired for the western regioanl.

Tim lied his butt off on Nemo a week or so ago when he said we rarely go to Walgreens. Please expalin i and many other Marten drivers are stuck there many times a week, at differtant Walgreen dc's for 8 or so hrs.

The forced perdeim, puts more money in my pocket, so they say. Ya right.
It takes less out for social security, retirement. Banks see what my wages are now, and won't give loans, based on what Marten is now reporting on the w-2s.
Pay checks are less, because of doing regioanl crap runs. Picking up rail loads now going 900 miles via train.

So rngross, take your cheerleader bs and go sit at the Mondovi inn with timmy my 20 years in the office norlan.
At the same time i challeneg you to go to any truck stop and talk to other drivers and get thier pov. on Marten. Oh wait i forget, everything is perfect for you, so you won't do it.

Lonesome and Dna Mach Thank this.

And, the recruiters send out a COPY of the sliding pay scale stapled to the offer letter that they mailed to your home address BEFORE you started orientation.

Hey Skibum, why do you stay at a carrier that you have obvious disdain for? Why not move on? All you do is complain, complain, complain. Not good, man! Life's too short.

I worked for Marten for 8 months, I left May trucking to go to them, I thought I was making the right decision going to marten since I heard that they were a good company, I should of quit the first few weeks, I was OTR for the first 2 months and was not getting any miles, I went regional and was making decent miles, but I got into 3 small incidents that wasnt my fault, and I didnt even get a warning so I didnt even know that they put it on my records, next thing I know, human resource calls me in and fires me, and they put inaccurate info on my dac, now because of them I cant even get a driving job, and I live in a small town so jobs are very hard to find. Its been 3 months since I got fired and I still havent found a job, marten took away the only job I ever liked, now I have to wait for 5 weeks before dacfix calls me to see what did about my dac report.:biggrin_25510:

The only way to get that is on loadeds less than 200 miles. So you gotta run your tail off doing short runs to get that.
And now i wonder how cents perdeim they will take out.

otr drivers west of the rockies now are only allowed 4 days off max. No matter how long you spend out. No more banking days off. Those 4 days MUST include the weekend days of sat- sun.
If you need to take care of dr's lawyers, banks, dmv, good luck
