This michigan based company lost their only supplier in Arizona, all of the drivers found out about the contract when the new company was calling to recruit drivers, we only had 30 days tillthe end of contract. MTS offered me a position in Michigan in writing and i accepted. I was not offered a pay package or moving help. I used my last of everything to move to Michigan. I have been in michigan for 3 weeks now with no work (due to holiday and shut down) now the holiday is over and they keep telling me the planner is planning. I'm not sure if Arizona will approve my unemployment, and I'm going to lose everything trying to be loyal to a company that don't care.....any advice would be appreciated but please be aware of the company you work for don't ignore the red flags....

Here's the best advice......find another job and quick. You'll find a job quicker than you will be able to draw unemployment. Don't let a company sink you waiting on work. Michigan has plenty of jobs I'm sure. Do you need some leads? If so, post your exact location and you should get some suggestions.

Martin was founded in Flint Michigan in the late 70’s and has been heavily tied to the auto industry. They have NEVER had a good reputation in the Michigan/Ohio/Indiana area. They’ve been a bottom feeding JIT company that grew by absorbing other JIT auto bottom feeding companies. They may have been good where you came from but I would look for something else. There are far better opportunities in lower Michigan than them. Where are you located specifically in Michigan?

File unemployment, AND look for a job. With a decent history, in the Detroit area, you should be able to land something pretty quick. Filing unemployment also might light a fire under someone's seat at MTS. Good luck, keep us informed!
