Please forgive this unintelligent question, but here goes. My company recently elected me as its CDL truck driver. This is the first truck the company will purchase. I enjoy driving very much.
We will be installing a bunch of fuel tanks at our facility that total approx ~120k gallons of #2 fuel oil. We will need refilling at least monthly with our own truck and will have a new tractor and will need to puchase a tank trailer. Along with these duties I will be driving a 48' dry van from one of our locations to the next to move company goods
Does anyone know where I might find a list of various Masachusetts hazmat routes that I can drive this tank trailer along? I know I cannot drive through Boston because it is prohibited.
Also not sure where I can find out what state/federal permits my company needs in order to purchase and operate the tank trailer? I know that I need a DOT number. IFTA, and state inpection for the tractor. My company is clueless due to the fact that they are not a carrier, they are a lab that needs so much #2 fuel that they are looking to pick up from the local Sprague fuel racks.
Any help would be appreciated.
