    Does anybody know when it expires, one of my co-drivers said 2 years. From what I have read it is 90 day before your license expires, you have to take the written test and have the background check done.

    No the HM endorsement expires after 5 years or when one renews their license. Yes you have to take the written test. I don't know if one has to redo the backgorund check as well. I won't know till 2014. If you are renewing your HM since the background check went into effect, then yes you need a BC done.

    The 2 year thing is if your hauls HM they are required to generally go over the HM and company rules on hauling HM.

    Hey thanks for the info, I thought that was the case, but wanted to make sure. So that means I wont have to take the test or background check again until 2012.
