At that same company I rescued many other Dodge 2500. That road walking with a lot of weight in the bed was downright dangerous.

Drove a 2012 with a Cummins. Gutless. The Powerstroke I drove before it would have blown its doors off, despite weighing more.

Was it the high output or the standard? The standard was pretty underpowered from the factory but was pretty reliable.

That said methinks yours had issues lol mine has blown the doors, hood and body off every powerstroke ive played with ay the local track and that was before i retuned it.

Probably standard, it was a cab and chassis, same as the Powerstroke. I was getting beat by old ladies off the line at stop lights.

Yea that was a pretty standard thing with the standards and why even today they are pretty cheap. They were only 340ish horse and tuned for economy so had some major acceleration issues. I did hear later software updates made them less pathetic but ehhh its a bit of a case of how a lot of paccars are set up to be gutless wonders unless you more or less hold the ordering guy by the throat and MAKE him spec them well.

The high outputs are 420ish and are vastly more responsive. Ive used both and the diffrence is night and day. That said last year mine spent some time at a tune shop and has several modes built in now and is a pretty mean machine for what it is. Still tops at 460 at the wheel but it gets up and goes.

Whats funny is it actully gets better mpg now lol.

Nothing but eco terrorists at the epa. Need to have em all be held accountable for ruining livelihoods and the economy. I’m voting for someone that will put em away in the slammer.

This one may reek of BS, but I’ll put it out there anyway! I once owned a 2004 Ford F250 Crew Cab, long box, 4x4 SRW, for my former courier business. It had the dreaded 6.0L Powerstroke by Navistar. I had 172,000 hard-working miles on it, and NEVER had a single problem with it!! I’m not saying that the 6.0 engines didn’t deserve their reputation; I’m just saying that, in a rare occurrence, I actually got lucky with this one. I sold it only because I was getting paranoid about what may be lurking around the corner (due to everyone else having trouble with them). A local farmer bought it, and I saw it around for a few years, regularly, slowly getting beaten to death.

Agree. Enough is enough already. They are never happy. I prefer dangerous Liberty over “peaceful” tyranny on any day.
