MASSIVE EPA FINE LEVIED AGAINST CUMMINS

One way or the other. They are gonna make EV vehicles make sense. It's not in are best interest. But it's a big new industry. Some people will get rich. Some will get poor. They have been attempting to out price independent operators since 1980. Has not worked yet.

 

I'll venture a guess he's not in the US. Lots of neat little diesel pickups in other countries. Pollution there doesn't count as much.

 

Your not wrong. Hence why my current hair brained scheme is to ploink a cat into my pete using a few legal loopholes whete i live. Run it till i either retire, something so much better and more reliable then diesel comes out that it makes sense to swap over, diesels become so expensive that im forced to swap to a BEV or a edison diesel style electric hybrid, or some 3rd wolderer who cant even read pictograms takes me out.

Im not especially willing to give up diesel for the garbage tier electric crap they are trying to peddle by regulating their competition out of existance with braindead fools drooling and nodding along happily because they cant understand how reality works.

 

I bought a brand new 2007 with a 5.9 way back then. The very last of the good ones. Still have it, only 90k miles, and I wouldn't take anything for it.

 

Speaking of EV’s…. Stopped at the Tennesseean Truckstop on the way home Thursday, looks like they have added a bunch of charging stations for cars….

Exactly. When you show me a new unit that out performs, increases efficiency, productivity, and reliability than my old 2000 FL with a Detroit. You may gain my attention. I am running a business. But I sure as F@@@ aint seen one. So till then, I'll pull the wrenches, repair, rebuild, and pray. Cause they have not built anything yet better than pre 2003. I'm a gearhead and trucker. Can't tell me different. I'm not buying a inferior upgrade for 200k were my used 13k truck outshines them. I've run this turd 13 years now. I have zero problem taking a month to reframe it.

I actually imagine some of these newer engines have the ability to be wonderful. It wasn't for the epa.

 

When they issue a energy impact day, or days. I'll go to town and unplug any charging EV I see. Pickup a 6 pack and ride home in my diesel pickup knowing I've done everything I can for my planet for the day.
