Any idea what kind of markup they have on a new typical warehouse-type forklift?

Weatherproof fuse to replace the maxi-fuse in the cover of the apu engine? I bought an amplifier kit, with a 50amp in-line fuse for 40 bucks I think at walmart. Haven't installed it yet since just replacing the maxi-fuse so far has worked for me with my apu.

Most dealers aren't factory-owned and are just the middle man between the end user and OEM. Every dealer I've worked for, whether it be engine or truck OEM sells way more parts over-the-counter and out the back door than they do to their shop, so don't think for a second the dealer wants to lose that ability. They don't want to build more shops, search for more help, etc trust me, now the mothership OEM may, but not your local dealer.

Also, there is a Federal law that requires vehicle OEM's to provide software, tooling and parts to independent shops and customers. I'm too lazy to research it, but somehow the AG industry escaped from the ruling. The law lays out what the OEM's are forced to share and my experience shows that that's all you get, the bare minimum. I did see JD has reached a tentative agreement recently to begin sharing their technology finally.

Without the independents, there would be equipment laying around everywhere broke down waiting to get into an OEM shop and nobody wants that, not even the manufacturer. Most independent shops that close are due to not wanting to keep up with technology, not being able to find and keep quality help and tired of fighting tooth and nail for a dollar.
