I worked for Master Transfer for a few months!
The first thing they did was pay me $1500.00 per hour. What they expected was for me to blow the money on a new car or at the casino or something and then be stuck working for them to pay them back! Another one of the newer drivers did just that. Funny! Payroll just happened to make that same mistake at least more than once...wierd!
When I brought it to their attention they asked me to just write a personal check to pay them back... wierd! I told them to correct it through payroll otherwise my w-2's would be inaccurate... they were trying to run some sort of scam...
I pulled some trailers that I was extremely worried about.
Funny, my paychecks were always short of what I thought they should be. I really had no way to know what I was supposed to be paid... sometimes hourly, sometimes by the mile...in the same day!
How about this for a dispatch: take this "empty" trailer 500 miles away, drop it, then just bobtail back....??? WTF. I guess maybe they were selling the trailer...
But I'm the job hopper because I quit working for a company that operates illegally! Oh and I gave them two weeks notice and continued to pull trailers with bald tires and doors that didn't close properly in a tractor that leaked air...
Yep, I think this CSA thing is good if it helps put bad companies out of business...
I hope the FMCSA reads this stuff...

Stay away from Master Transfer! Bad news!
-
I've been with them for about 5 months now. Their lease program seems pretty reasonable. $215.00 a week plus insurance. Settelments have always been good and the checks don't bounce! 90% of the pick ups are drop and hook and 50% of the backhauls are as well. Joe is great to deal with in dispatch, so I am not sure where the problem is. I just get in and drive!

Their equipment is full of dents where people have touched them with 10 foot poles.
This really shouldn't be in this forum at all. -
Looking to jump into the independent contract with them. Anything I should know before I do?
