Hello there, I'm with Trans am right now Unfortunately. Been driving for 4 months with them and don't like it. They are unprofessional in every way. At 6 months I'm done with Trans am. Been talking with maverick. They said they would accept me for orientation. I just wanted to know if reg flatbed or glass is better. I live in NJ, about 10 mins from Philadelphia. I was thinking glass but idk. Anyone have any suggestions? Is it a good company, how the miles, and home time? They told me for glass, if I finish my 6 months with Trans am, they pay me 48 cents per mile, I didn't ask about reg flatbed, anyone know the pay on that?
Maverick a good choice?

I can tell you its a really good company to be with. Everyone is top notch and very professional. If you ever have a ? just ask them and they will give you an answer. I run TCD, miles have been good for me. Coming back out from hometime usually is a little less but get round 2K. My average is 2500-2800 a week. There is a lot of freight that goes to PA from the Midwest. As far as home time, I've always made it home when I put in the dates that I want to get home. Not sure what the pay is for reg. flatbed. TCD starts out at 41 for 6 months.

You heard right Hank.

Regular flatbed pays 42cpm with 6 months. I'm still new, but so far respect (given and received ) seems to be expected at Maverick.

Sorry, I honestly don't know. As crazy as it's sounds, and I'd pretty much never recommend this anywhere else I've ever been, but I'd call a Maverick recruiter. I'm not saying Maverick is all sunshine and rainbows, but they seem pretty adamant about respect and telling the truth...even the recruiters. -
what about mavericks school everyone is talking about. How do you get in ?
-
There is no maverick cdl school.

Glass or reg flatbed? Live in south jersey, about 10 mins from Philly. Would like to be home on most weekends if I could. Which would be a best choice for me?
