I don't know just a thought. Truck drivers are all about miles I think that's the wrong mentality. It shouldn't be how many miles I drove this week by how much money I made this week. You'll never hear a guy working at a plant say I don't want a raise I want to work more hours.
But in trucking it's not about more pay it's always I need more miles. I've heard drivers say I need 3000 miles a week or out quit. I'll say if I have to drive 3000 miles I will quit. That's just the whole Lotta work.
It just never ceases to amaze me that a lot of the big box carriers only pay $.32 a mile and people actually go to work for them. So I see why they need 3000 miles just so they can make $900 gross and most of drive like an idiot to do it.
I'm not about miles,I'm about money so from now on I myself will post what I took home not my miles.
    This week I made $800 take-home

I did over 2400 miles this week....since not everyone is at the same mileage pay, I will put my miles so that we have a point of comparison....but I understand where Sewerman is coming from.
When I talk to others for other companies...I talk how much per mile.

    jxu417 Thanks this.

Well, I understand what you are saying Sewerman. However, this thread (as far as I knew) is/was to be sort of a "comparison" for some of us who are willing to disclose this type of information. (Miles).

Now, by you obviously having more experience than a driver such as myself, you are paid significantly more per mile than I. So, if you only post your net income, there is no way to compare your info to myself- or any other newer driver who does not have your upper echelon mileage pay....

I agree with your sentiments that you posted- don't get me wrong.... but in order to compare, we would need you to keep posting- as long as you are willing to disclose the information. Just sayin....

Your take-home pay per mile is more than most doors swingers gross per mile.

Good job their newbie. But you have to remember that the company gives all the freight to newbie drivers so I can pay them less. The drivers at the top scale don't get the good loads LOL so I won't get as many miles as you do.
It kills me every time I hear that kind of BS. Sorry just had to throw that in there.

Well, there may be some truth to that Sewerman, I have heard that before from other vets. I am almost one year in now, and in a Dedicated Division that has 10 trucks in it (last I heard). We all seem to end up right around the same miles/loads each and every week. I know almost all our drivers and talk with them regularly. We see each other all week long at most of our regular Shippers and Consignees.

    ...and Thank you BTW
