I've been doing a lot of "out and back" loads (appx. 500 mile round trips)...half my miles have been empty miles which pay me 10 cents less. (47 empty, 57 loaded)

Last week...2,531 miles for a net of $997.93 (5 loads IIRC)

This week...2,589 miles, half of them empty...next weeks check will be about the same.

I've been consistent for about the last 6 weeks though, only 1 week sorta short...the week after the holiday.

    sewerman Thanks this.

well glad to hear things run pretty good for you there. At least all those mt miles should be helping your fuel mileage. Did you ever get the new truck yet according to the minutes of the Council meeting another 400 this year so as the units are scheduled to start coming in September October and November. And be getting rid of the 12 orange trucks in the machinery and MS O division.

Mr. Mike told me I'd have a new truck by the end of the year...

All I know for sure is that they have decided on the spec for us...its not much different from the other 2013's, we did get the DD13 engine because of the weight savings, 1/2 fenders, I forget what else...and I hope like hell they leave the tanks at 100 gallons each (haven't found that out for sure yet)...lots of places we go the 80 gallon tanks will make life difficult, cost Maverick more $$$ (more out of network fueling), waste more of our time...and just be a PITA in general.

    I don't have a problem with the DD13 engine...the DD13 is a little bigger than the engine I have now anyway (12.7 Series 60...the DD13 is 12.8 )

I just want a truck with all the accessory plugs working...this truck only has 2 that work.

And it will take more than empty miles to improve the MPG's in this thing...even empty I'm only getting 6.5-6.7.
