2157. Forget how many tarps but don't think miles were bad for short week due to holiday and leaving out Monday...

Only got 1,000 miles this week (3 drops though)....short week, plus a truck and trailer PM.

I was on a pretty decent roll up until the holiday...not counting the first week because I was home almost all week, since I left home the last time my pay has been:

    week 2 = $1,074 (net)
    week 3 = $975 (net)
    week 4 = $1,408 (net)

Next week is looking good too, I have 2 pre-plans on me....deliver this one in PA for 1,065 miles Monday, deliver and reload at the same place and I'm off to AZ with a combine...deliver and reload at the same place again, then back to OK with another combine, that will be 3,368 miles for next week (OD all the way, appx. $1,500 net pay))...the OK load won't be delivered until Monday or Tuesday of the week after next so thats probably another 1,000 mile start to that week (hopefully delivered on Monday...too far in the future to say for sure right now though)

I posted all that because people keep saying things that make me think they don't believe Maverick keeps us rolling, 3 different people at Gary just last night said "too much waiting around in that division for me"...

I just shook my head and said "it ain't for everybody"...

Sure, we wait on stuff sometimes...but not very much.

My miles per day on my score was over 500 until the holiday week knocked it back a bit...I didn't get it there by "sitting and waiting".

We're small, but we "git-r-done"...and while there are no openings in this division at this time...there will be someday, and it might be a lot easier to put a good driver in that seat if they know the real story.

My apologies...rant over...just felt the need to speak up for my division a little. :biggrin_25519: ...

Work smarter, play harder, and life is good!

I'm still trying to figure out when I get paid for my trips. Last weeks pay was 3600+ mi. Guess my "go home" load from SC to Pittsburgh that delivered on Monday was a huge carry over miles into the next pay. Should do that more often! Lol
