1207 miles. I've not had 2,000 plus since I've been here. Every body says "give it time." My checking account says"I can't much longer!"

Is Glass freight that slow?? Haven't they given you any steel freight to make up for it? How many loads per week are you getting? I would try bumping it up to around 60mph from 57mph and see if that will help you get in an extra load that week or something. On a longer haul that could be the difference of getting that extra one in throughout the course of a week. Maybe...

oh, I see on your thread that you just had some steel it appears. Well, I would still try bumping up the mph for a week or two and see if that helps with the miles and number of loads. And always see if you can deliver a load early too. Just trying to offer some suggestions. Good luck.

Thanks for the thought. My loads are low miles with too many days to get there. For some reason can't bump up appointments. I'm sure this is just a bump in the carpet.

Are you calling the consignee directly to see if you can deliver early, or are you relying on FM to find out? There are MANY times that I have delivered a day early-even 3 days early LOL! If you are familiar with the consignee and you KNOW that they can take you early, I would just show up and drop it off, no questions asked. I actually do this ALOT. I deliver my home loads for Monday morning off the way home on Friday afternoons a lot- for example. Nobody says a word..... :biggrin_25525:

No, case in point, I took my sweet time to get to the consignee. They're closed on the weekend. It wouldn't have made a difference if I drove hardto get here on Saturday morning. I arrived here today around 1500 local. Have to sit till tomorrow morning.

Talk with your FM about it, ask if they can start getting you loads that have a more flexible receiver from time to time so that you can deliver early and get on to the next one like Jay Z.
