Over my 17yrs driving Ive known and talked to many TMC drivers. Basically the pretty truck is where the good ends. Why anyone stays with them very long I have no idea but then again I say that about many carriers.

i'm an instructor with maverick, have instructed 2 students previously with tmc both told me after week one in the trainer truck at tmc, truck was run in team status. Maverick does not run team status with its trainer trucks. PGT: have spent plenty of time waiting to load behind them at our customers. Name vs Number: At Maverick, you're issued Id Badges and your first name is in huge letters under your picture. you're required to wear them while at the different Maverick yards, HQ in north Little Rock especially so anyone can say hello to you using your first name to do so. Person may be another driver or the owner of the company.

All that being said, if coming out of corporate setting, where you had your own personal secretary or assistant, as a driver at maverick, you have a fleet manager that is responsible for not only you, but the rest of the drivers in their fleet so if your fleet manager doesn't immediately pick up the phone everytime you call and you call them alot ie everyday, multiple times a day one may think they are being treated like a number rather than a name.

Thanks sarge26044, "this comeing from an instructor Maverick" but Maverick is my top choice in companies right now. I already through TMC out of my mind. I think it is mainly certian vibes I got from when I was reading some of the forums about them. Guess I don't want to have the feeling that I am in the military again.
I do have a good question for you though since you are an instructor.....With me being 5'4 do you think I might have trouble with tarping? I am going to going to the glass division.....
I really do like the thought of being called by name alot just feels so much more personal but then again I did have to listen for my last name alot or by my rank so listening for my first name would be little difficult. LOL
