cool. didn't know if it went through. got some msg when i tried to send it saying i hadn't the posts to pm yet. but ok. Glad to hear your with us and still like it. Just posted a blog, i think, lol. its titled, "wanna improve your MPG and Fuel Bonus Check" for any and all that might be interested. Just remember 1, 2, and 3, if and when you do read it.
Gotta go for now but will try to log on this weekend. 6 mos old daughter is teething and wife's got either bronchitis or sinus infection. (I'm not a Dr., but I did sleep behind a Holiday Inn Express last week) so keyboard time between that might be hard to come by that and the usual things to do when home on the weekends. Be safe out there.

Latest update.
Redcoat actually made it home this weekend. Home as in North Carolina. Kudos to Maverick for making it happen. RC put in his request on the QC for time off in Garner a week in advance and that did the trick.
After he delivered his load in Greenville, SC, he picked up a load in Cayce headed for UniStress in Pittsfield, MA. He's leaving at lunch time today to make his delivery time for Monday. We've had a look at the route and have determined that once he gets off I-90, there is no graceful way to get to his destination without going straight through town.
Stay tuned. The Challenger and Bookerz Thank this. -
Glad you made it home.

Latest update.
OK so Redcoat has been putting in some miles. After making his delivery in Mass., he deadheaded to Conshohocken, PA and picked up a load of sheet steel headed to Memphis. He says his load is two feet high. The trip was right at a thousand miles (loaded) so it took him two days to get there. He made it to the Pilot on Lamar Ave. this evening and will drop off the load in the morning.
What do y'all make of the ETAP thingy Maverick is going to start on Monday?
Stay tuned. The Challenger Thanks this. -
Getting the lead out...Some drivers won't leave home early enough to have hours to run when they get empty Monday mornings.
Slowing down...some drivers run the butts off. (illegally at times)
This system is SUPPOSED to even that out and tell the driver and the CSR when he can be at the consignee to deliver the load.
It remains to be seen how it works though... -
And it will never work in the real world as well the cubicle commander that thought it up thought it would.Last edited: Oct 22, 2009
