Sorry, just felt that I needed to explain. So, what types of items does the TCD carry besides food?
-
Just about anything that doesn't require a placard. If they can't get you load close by, they get you a broker load. Just call the broker and give them the load #. They give you all the info that you need. I'm very happy I went with TCD. Freight does slow down a little bit, but not enough to impact your miles. Thats whats nice about TCD, you can haul dry or perishable products

That's cool to know. Do you all ever run through Tennessee?
-
All the time. We pick up and deliver there quite often, and we pass through there A LOT.
Remember, Memphis is only 130 miles from our home terminal, and if we're leaving there and going east, we pretty much have to at least enter TN. -
That's true, I live in Knoxville so I was just wandering. Lol

We haul some interesting stuff from time to time.
So far, my unusual loads have been:
Hilti Tools, from Tulsa, OK to Canada (which must be refrigerated at 65 degrees)
Peat Moss, from Canada to Denver, CO (which US Customs had fun trying to convince me it was marijuana because I was the only truck at the border at that time and they were bored lol)
Semi truck brake drums, can't remember the location, I think they went to Arkansas
A trailer loaded completely full of $1.00 boxes of Kraft Mac & Cheese
Theres probably more I'm forgetting... But Maverick will pretty much haul anything that pays enough and is not Hazmat.raetnrunner Thanks this. -
Thanks for the extra information. I appreciate it.
