Maverick refrigerated division, how many miles are you getting?

I work TCD. Our mileage can vary quite a bit, but it usually stays decent. Most of the time, a lousy mileage week can be attributed to horrible waiting times at a shipper or receiver (TYSON), but even then we get detention pay. Most of the time I manage to get 2100 - 2600 miles per week, but there are some times it dips to around 1800. TCD requires a minimum of two weeks out with two days home time. Since I'm single without a wife and kids, I typically stay out for 3 - 4 weeks and get 3 - 4 days home time. You get one day off per week you're out.

Although we sometimes get some odd runs, our main running areas are Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and sometimes Oklahoma, Ohio and Wisconsin. We also go to the northeast sometimes, however I notice that they don't like to keep drivers up there for a really long time, if I get a run going up there I'm usually back in the south in less than 5-7 days. In the northeast, we primarily run in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey. (These are all pickup and delivery locations, obviously we have to cross other states to get to some of these places).

But again, sometimes we get some odd stuff... I had one of our usual beer runs from Milwaukee to Ypsilanti, MI, and now I'm sitting in Siloam Springs, AR waiting for delivery tomorrow morning with 43,000 lbs of semi truck brake drums. My trainer has already had runs to El Paso, TX, Midland, TX, and out to California, but I haven't talked to ANYONE else who has gone that far west. Typically we don't go further west than the DFW metroplex (which is where I live).

And FYI.. the best run for TCD money-wise is Tulsa, OK to Edmonton, AB in Canada. You drop there and pick up a load of peat moss up there and bring it back into Denver, CO. 3,200 miles round trip in 6 days. You'll usually need a restart on the 7th day lol. I love that run

Had a run, back when I was with my trainer, out to Stockton, CA and then back down to LA area to pick up heading to Ohio. Met a female Mav driver out in Cali as well while we were out there.

Thats cool, maybe we're starting to expand west a bit.

I've seen a few female Maverick drivers, but its rare. I never talk to them though, because I firmly believe that women who drive semi trucks are hot, and I'm afraid I'll say something stupid and get myself into trouble
