Well no tarps4me must have made a typo if he thinks he knows what my or anyone elses exp has been! Thats easy enough to comprehend, for me anyway. The 55MPH Schnider trucks were what they(schidner) had to turn turn up(speed-wise) in the early ninetees due to them being a saftey hazard .Maverick also has a generous driver referal bonus.Fact is Maverick is a good outfit. But they have not ben the great company they always worked hard and aspired to be.I think its great that people are content with watever group they belong to.Every corperation has them.

First off I agree with Tinman, Maverick Specialized is a great division. But I must say it's up to the driver. If you want the miles, and your good with keeping appointments, youl get the miles. But HUMMM let's do some minor thinking here, LOL, theres over 400 specialized drivers now, and on here there are only a couple who cry and complain here. Hummm very intreresting. As a driver you need to always be planning ahead, what i mean is, it's just like when your driving, you need to have a plan in mind always, so if you want miles then you need to let your fleet manger know youl be ready for your next load at what ever time you say, and keep close to that time. Show your FL that your dependable. And youl get the miles. But = Hey you also need to be real , there will be times when the loads going out from the assorted Shippers are Slow. Oh well, that part of the Econ-money, lol. Open your eye's and ears drivers, the whole country is in a recession. But here is some great new News = the FL SAID THE OTHER DAY FRIEGHT IS PICKING UP, So get ready to roll out some miles, and hey make every trip a safe trip, your Family depends on you and so does so many others.:biggrin_25519:

Hey everyone, give me some hope! Graduated today, 5/15/08, from Alliance in Fletcher, NC. We had 1 (one!) recruiter after 4 weeks of training...Colonial...(CFS)... I respectfully walked out of the session after 15 minutes of BS, but was given Maverick's phone # & recruiter name 2 weeks ago. Pay is same as reported earlier...35, 41 for glass...and that I find to be quite enticing for a student just graduated, with no experience..I've read on some forums tho, they don't like women...or was that TMC? Anyway, all of your thoughts, comments, and opinions are truly appreciated...help guide us newbies in the right direction... I'm not looking for the "perfect" driving job, just help guide me to the "sweet spot", and I'd me more than grateful!!

Howdy folks, just a quick hello from Maverick Spec. Just finished up my 2 weeks orientation and securement training tomorrow! Heading out with my trainer on Sunday, their we're 6 of us in my class left after job offer week. 7 graduated today one was a former TMC driver! So far it's been a great experience, all the trainers have been great all were here when it was Schneider, heck even my roomate is an ex-pumpkin driver. I would highly recommend looking into Maverick. And yes dolalama i believe they'll take women, one of instructers was a glass hauler for years, give'em a call! bug-out!:biggrin_25525:

Hey no prob. I must have forgot to log off, LOL
Anyway, ive been out w/trainer almost 2 wks. And I must say , that Maverick matched me up with a great trainer, he has taught me alot and we get along great. Which has allowed me to relax and enjoy everthing.
But dont get me wrong, you willl work hard at times when needed. But hey like ive said in other post I like working.
Ive met a few other drv's. on the road from specialized and transport, and they are good people. Maverick does screen there drivers quite well and they only want real good people who have a Professional Attitude. This why I choose Maverick , and Im proud to be a new drv. for Maverick. I plan on staying with Maverick till I retire. :biggrin_255:
