    Hey Bug83 ,
How is the Laurinburg Hilton (Jameson Inn) treating you ?
had alot of fun there with my class ,cookouts, pizza delivered to the pool,
the training was great , there are a couple negative posts from a couple of guys , have no idea what they are talking about, the Specialized
division has been real good to me,they expect you to be on time, legal, safe and professional, if you do that you'll be just fine, glad your having a good time with your trainer ,I had a good one too.
    Best of luck.

Just finished up glass class, going out with trainer on Sunday! Great experience so far, got lucky & had a great bunch of gentlemen to be in orientation & training with! Hard work, but every day has brought new challenges & insight. Very glad to be here with Maverick Specialized. Our instructors know their stuff, and the brain has been pushed to the max with information..now to apply it. There seems to be some disorganization at times around the terminal, but all in all, don't think I'd find a better company to drive for, fresh out of driving school! Will attempt to keep posting on my progress...Thanks to other posters for their information, which guided me here!:biggrin_25520:

I've read in other posts where their equipment is in rough shape, but seen some on the road that looks fairly new. I'd be interested in your take on the overall conditions there, and where you end up running. Spec is out for two weeks at a time? Congratulations on getting through orientation.

response to Houdini's question---Most glass loads (from the Geneva Guardian Plant) are secured, tarped, and dropped in the yard ready to go. I was a Securement Team member with Maverick up until April when I went out on disability. Unfortunatly I will not be returning-my decision. They have purchased several new rolling tarp trailers and also use a rack and roll system when possible. You will as I understand it have to untarp at the receivers. One word of caution-don't get injured or go on disability for any length of time. Before you can return to your job you must retake their fit for duty tests over again. :biggrin_2554: Travel time and expense will be at your cost (unless you want to ride a bus for 35 hours to and from Little Rock which they will pay for). You are not compensated for any of your time even though they require this nonsense. Evidently their "fitness experts' know more than your personal physician. Good luck-you're going to need it.

When I hired in they record all of your range of motion and strength tests. That way if you get hurt they know when you are 100% again after therapy.

As I said it was my decision not to go back. Not a bus rider-not for 70 hrs. anyway.

I got that. I was posting why they want injured workers to go thru them. They know what your condition was when you hired in. Most doctors don't have your normal range of motion and strength charts on record. That way they know if you are going to be able to return to work or if you have a chance of re-injuring because you are not 100 % yet.
