I would go to Maverick there hiring in your area and flatbed experience is a great way to learn especially in your area with all that flatbed and oilfield work.

im in the process of getting my record expunged so until then i will be looking for the right school for me and the only one that i know of up until now IS Maverick

Maverick should be better the Schneider.

Maverick would be much better than Schneider, especially since we don't have any flatbeds. Tanks and vans are all.
It would surprise me if Maverick is hiring new drivers now a days, but it wouldn't hurt to call and talk to them.
Good luck with what ever you do find, right now it's a hard thing to break into trucking. But dry van would be easier. Although I don't care that much for Werner, I see where they are taking on students. And once you get your feet wet for a while, you'd have a better chance to get on with someone else, doing what you really want to do.
