Does anyone have any information on this company? They want to go drive for them but am a bit hesitant. I can't find any reviews on them, they pay 65cpm for under 1year experience and 79cpm for over 1 year experience.

It sounds like a 1099 gig......I don't recommend going that route unless you have a bad record, and you need to clean it up and still make money.

For the most part, paying on a 1099 is illegal. You are an employee and should be on a W2.

As a man who's gone that route, I'll tell ya. You have to take your own taxes out, and you have to remember do it quarterly. Many people don't know that when they first do it. You can't deduct what your employer deducts, such as fuel and repairs. Your "employer" will have already deducted those. Many of those companies take alot of money from you, especially those in Chicagoland. Be prepared to get moent deducted for escrow. They say you will get it back should you quit, but be prepared to eat it. If you have an accident, get ready to get more money deducted from you. With some of those companies, you can catch hell getting equipment repaired. Many if those owners are extremely cheap and will have drivers do risky things just to have the repair done at their home base. There are no benefits. You won't have insurance or paid time off. The advantages of being on 1099: they can't make you do anything you don't want to do, as in you have the ability to refuse loads. I don't really know that it's a real advantage. Also, if your record is a little tainted, you can work and earn money while you clean it up. They don't report to DAC. They are a little more laxed about rules, and that ain't a good thing. If you have record that you need to clean up than I understand. If you're record is good, there are too many companies, even in Illinois, that you can go to. Now I did it for 6 years because of a dirty drug test. I made it work, and as soon as I saw that there were better options, I left it alone. I made it work because I had to. Those companies are not there to be a career, just a stop gap til you get straight. All that being said, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!
