Actually I recommend you find another gig now because you are about to be canned. You're a company driver and your truck should be governed at 63mph. If you hit 65 with your foot on the pedal you have an overspend violation. Get to a Swift shop and get your truck's governor set where it belongs. If you think you can go faster than your governed speed downhill and heavy you need to understand you are out of control and nothing more than a passenger. The system isn't ridiculous, you are for thinking you are all that. Please find something else to do with your life before you kill someone. We all get painted with the same brush fools like you get and deserve. Also give one of us your mentors name by PM so we can get him/her bounced from ever training another driver again.

If it were me, I would point blank ask the safety department rather than an internet forum. Then follow the company rules whether the truck is governed or not.

This sounds like the Schneider trainer who got that dude canned for doing a U turn. There everywhere!!! Be on the look out!! Dude probably blew up your sig pic to get your truck number. But Yeah dude set the cruise to 62 or 63 and leave on good terms or follow their rules if you plan on staying. The I didn't know stuff doesn't really work all that well.

Nope not a snitch. No one likes a snitch. However his trainer, if he's talking true, shouldn't be training dogs not to piss in the house. I find the op's arrogance to be over the top. Like it or not when you accept employment you follow the employer's rules. He doesn't have the experience, the most basic skill set to be running one of these trucks 65mph let alone the speed limit. I care not if anyone thinks that is harsh; I care that he's on the road around someone I care about. Someone like you.

BTW, that Schneider trainer is a scumbag of the first order.

Yep. Kind of think he's a Kraft Singles type.

BTW, the A21CAV refers to A Troop, 2nd Squadron, 1st Armored Cavalry Regiment, the unit I am proud to have served with in Vietnam in 1969. Our tracks all had the designation A 2-1 Cav painted on them. My company is named "Crossed Sabers Cartage Company" in homage to my Troopers and especially in honor of those who fell.

Please don't thank me for my service. I would prefer apologies from those "Americans" who spit on my Troopers when we came home.

The truck was a previous owner op truck, so that's why it goes to 65. But noticed from this short stretch I just drove that it was all fine just staying under 68, no overspeed warnings went off.

To whoever the other dude was (Ac Something) that's a by the book moron. -'-(O.O)-'- (___!___)

It's a good thing my cell phone is a pre paid junker that can't take a quality picture to save its life. Good luck making out the truck number to whoever tries. I've got some imaging software on this comp, just put the picture on that and tried to zoom it in and clarify the numbers, still can't see nothing but fuzz.

I don't care, if they want to fire me over... Not speeding? ... then so be it, because under the speed limit, at least where I'm from, is considered legal...

if Swift controls a owner ops speed i would leave and take my truck with me! now if its a LEASE truck you are not an owner op you are renting that truck from them... Even then i would not have a speed set on that truck. Guess im lucky i never worked for Swift and never will. My company never says anything to be about going fast down hills... our trucks are set at 70 and i won't say how fast i go down hills!!!
