But if I can find a good truckin' company to hire
this hand, --- I'll handle any transmission in any
Big truck they hand me.
Handily, too, ..... I might add.
Then again, maybe I should consider joinin' the Navy?
ALL HANDS ON DECK!
Well, ..... HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I'd get the chance to see the World
through a porthole.
Ya reckon.

I forgot the tripple stick now that I may have issues with for a little while. But with enough time and enough mess ups i wsould get it.

The guy is not seeing the big picture on the importance of grabbing those gears fellas. He is thinking of it in the terms of a road test and not out on the highway somewhere, loaded at max gross, in the mountains, middle of winter going down a 7%. Missing a gear in those circumstances can be fatal.
I have missed gears, anyone that drives misses gears. The secret is owning up to mistakes, being humble, and correcting the mistake. To reiterate many others comments, attitude goes a long way. -
I trained at school on a straight 10, took my road test with Swift on a straight 10 and went to a 9spd during my 6 weeks with a trainer. This was the trans I used up until July when I got on a 13 speed. After about 15 min of driving it, I was very comfortable with it. I was just offered a newer KW with the 9spd and I turned it down. This tranny is very easy to use. I would have called someone before the roadtest to make sure of the pattern and would have practiced it in my mind.
A buddy of mine from trucking school went straight to May as his first job. He did train on the schools Super 10, so that may have helped..

I miss, I've missed before, and I will probably miss a shift or gear again...I'm inexperienced...it's bound to happen. Even with time and training it may happen again in the future. I think in some cases it's how well you can fix what is wrong, "fix" the gear your in, or in some cases out of, to the gear you should be in. I've gained some confidence in my ability to "recover", and I think that will help in many situation. Stay safe folks, see you out there.
