are you running nat or regional???? Got final approval 12-26 from crete, but no orentation till 1-20-09, applied for regional have done this for many years like the home time, if the economy was better would not even think about driving again, they are backpeddeling on the regional now telling me nat is all available so may pass on it any input you have will be apppreciated,,,,, stickhauler

Is there anyone with current info on Shaffer? It's pretty obvious that reefer is about the only segment of trucking that hasn't slowed down much. I was wondering if there are any Current Drivers that could give me some idea has to what the miles are right now. (Both national and MW regional replies would be appreciated) Just need a new home to settle into. I'm returning to the big chair after being out for a few years.

My miles are bouncing up and down. Depending on how I turn in my pay, my miles range from 2100 down to 1200.

I just came off hometime friday in Oklahoma. I am on a load to the Albany region of NY. Paid d/h and ldd are 1600 total.

Once I get up to NY, I will be most likely held on the east coast and my average week will be about 1400-1800. My average trip will be about 650 ldd and 40-100 d/h.

Sometimes it varies but not by much.

They keep me running the midwest and northeast which I am not happy about. Then when I am due home to OK, I will get a long mile trip usually from PA or eastern Ohio.

I have been here almost 9 years now and things have changed....

This info is rather specific to me. Others may give different experiences so please dont take my information as 100% gospel as to what you will get if you come work for us

My miles have been averaging around 2500 per week so far. Right now I am home for vacation while my wife undergoes knee surgery (ouch). From January through March I have been averaging around 1300 - 1500 miles… not good. I can’t complain about the last few weeks but I am very skeptical that things will continue this way.

I have made a spreadsheet of my trips from January 1 2009 to today (April 26) I have it uploaded on Google Docs. I would post the link here but I do not believe that is permissable. PM me if anyone wants a link to spreadsheet I uploaded.

My spreadsheet consists of 2 pages.

Page 1 has my daily miles driven. Days off at home are outlined in green. Days off on the road including resets/no freight are outlined in orange.
I have my total logbook miles driven and my total paid mileage driven listed as well.
Mileage averages are broken down by monthly/daily/weekly average.

Page 2 has my trips listed by number and week, Paid miles d/h and ldd. Actual miles d/h and ldd. I have states origins of each trip listed by state only.

This spreadsheet is based on the one used by Evertruckerr in his Crete Annual Review thread. He was nice enough to give me a copy and I improved a bit on it.

I have uploaded it to GoogleDocs and it opens ok for me. Looks quite nice. If you do not wish to download the spreadsheet to view it, it can be opened as a webpage in google docs. PM me for the link to the page. I have the doc settings open so ANYONE can see it without having to have a google account or anything.

For those who request it, I will get it to you asap but it may be a day or 2 before I can get online to respond. Please be patient. Thanks

    Hi TruckerLlew,

I do not have enough posts to PM (I hate it when that happens!) but would like to see that spreadsheet. Any other way of getting it to me that you know of? Can you PM me and let me respond? I don't know if that works or violates a rule on the board??

Thanks for the assist. Very nice of you to post the spreadsheet!

    TruckerLlew Thanks this.
