a whole forum about may
and no, may doesnt hire out of NY, not last I knew anyway, closest terminal to NY is Gary, Indiana
pay is ok, medical you pay for, nice trucks, no apu's, they run 48 but most their terminals are west -
You will make much more money with tanker or flatbed.
Have you considered those types of trucking?
Most flatbed or tanker companies have good healthcare & 401K.
For example, look at Melton Truck Lines website at the benefits package; fantastic package.
Check more companies before you make a decision; you paid good money for CDL school, so make it pay off for you:
Melton Truck Lines
TMC
Schneider tanker division
Superior-Carriers
Maverick
Decker Truck Line
Some of the better companies you may not even hear about in CDL school.
Don't really need a terminal close to home because hometime is based on company policy, not where terminals are located.ergon and luvtotruck Thank this. -
They hire out of New Jersey think starting is 30 cents just spoke with them on Monday .
Chinatown Thanks this. -

luvtotruck Thanks this. -
No May don't have a terminal there but they hire from there I spoke to Amy in Indiana Melton accept students straight out of school now.
ergon Thanks this. -
Melton does hire out of school. The school has to be an approved school. They will check the school if its not on their approved list.
ergon Thanks this. -
