My buddy had to pay his own hotel and the person outside with him was rude and nasty. My buddy is very mellow and he said when the guy told him to get out of the truck the guy almost got popped in the mouth for talking to my buddy the way he did. I guess things change.

First off I worked for May not a "friend" so I can tell you first hand of my experience only. There lot is open and easy access, there would not be a reason to have to do pull ups if you know how to set it up to start with.

As far as them not paying attention to this or any other board they have a trucking company to run, and as a driver I prefer them be finfing me loads, and I never sat waiting for a dispatch at May, they always had me preplanned.

There were things there that I did care for, But the only thing that mattered to me is home time. I your going to dispatch my truck, then your going to get it home Friday PM and keep it there till Sunday Late or Monday early. If they can't (and many won't even try) then I'm simply going to move on at my conveyance.

I you want to run hard then You will be happy at May.

I worked there also and my main issue was home time, they were never rude at any terminal.

I know a few people that are still at May and like it. They did tell me the new person doing the backing test in the lot, moves trucks over so the 35 alley between the barrels is harder now and does require a pull up or 2. I talked to a few other friends that went to another school and they were also sent home from may 2 weeks ago. It appears they are selective to a certain school in the Phoenix area. Oh well I don't care, who knows I may consider them at some point. I do know the benefits are some of the worst I have seen a 50k lifetime Max?

What May favors is a driver thats a driver. Run Hard, be creative (Logging) enough to never be late, never... Do not cry and wine or turn down loads, and don't spend Marvin's money or truck repairs that can wait to the next yard.

There not my first choice for experienced drivers I do and still Recommend IWX. Great Trucks there 3 years always made better than 70K. I understand now thet want drivers to run totally legal, but also did a money increase to cover the mile set back. There driver (friends still there) went from 3500-4000 down to 2800-3200. But there pay went up into .40+ cpm.

I appreciate you 27 years experience. I have been in computers and law enforcement and just got tired of the drama. I am a newbie graduated school and got my license May 20. I look forward to this new career as a professional driver. I have learned a bunch from this forum. Thanks for your input. What do you think of the company I am going with? You can PM me if you want so we don't hijack and to respect this thread.

Thanks, Powder Joints. I start school Tuesday here in Phoenix with Southwest Truck Driver. I have got calls from May and Werner but am leaning towards May. I would like to get a year of experience and then look for something closer to home. Appreciate all of your info.
