yell all you want, one of the reasons my radio stays off, not my problem you can’t figure out how to merge, and coming on with an attitude like that is likely to get yourself put in the ditch
Maybe it is time to stop changing to the left lane for cars entering the interstate

I make the 4 wheelers eat the shoulder all the time. I stopped moving over for them cause they have the tendency to hang around my truck and leaving me high and dry in the passing lane making me look stupid. Merging traffic has the duty to safely merge into the highway the one in his lane already has right of way. Trucks I’ll move over for though.
Another Canadian driver and RockinChair Thank this. -
I'll get over if I can do so safely, but I have no patience for people that have a half mile of on ramp and still decide to pace right next to me. People seem to forget that it is an acceleration lane....you don't merge on the highway by hitting your brakes.

I just do whatever is necessary to avoid crashes and the resulting mess. Whatever it takes to save the four wheeler from his own lack of self preservation abilities. The only contest I’m in is staying out of trouble. The the other guy can have the ego.

Down here in South Texas it's quite the opposite. They crawl up the on-ramp at 45-50 MPH, and they don't bother to accelerate until after they have already entered (notice I did not say "merged into") the right lane.
And the sad thing is, the people who are already on the highway will hit their brakes to let the idiots in.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I’ll get over when I’m able and not going to impede someone going 10mph faster in the left lane. If not, I just maintain my speed. I rarely slow down and I’m usually at the governor. If I slow down and they slow down at the same time, now I’m at fault when they panic and side swipe the concrete barrier on their right. They figure it out.

I will do what I can to let any vehicle merge easily if it’s longer than normal or heavier than normal.
Basic cars and pickups, I don’t mind moving over or letting off the gas but I’m not going to greatly inconvenience myself (i.e. heavy breaking, accelerating, or cutting people off on my left). I’ve had people go all the way until their lane ends and the shoulder expecting miracles from me.Still undecided, Another Canadian driver and tarmadilo Thank this. -
