You missed my point completely. If we had to deal with the mining and pollution in this country to produce the batteries needed for vehicles and everything else to go green there wouldn’t be such a big push for it. Instead the mining is done in Africa, they call them artisan miners to get around the regulations, the residents deal with horrible pollution on all levels, the raw materials are all sold through Chinese companies, and people here in the states get to stroke themselves for having an EV and saving the environment. Read the book Cobalt Red if you haven’t yet and see what really goes in to battery production.

 

Stop the oil and see how long the ev’s last. Oil supports the whole ev industry.

We can not live without it. From medicines to medical equipment to live, from food production to travel to our clothes.

Every EV has to use plastics and are using materials that are mined using oil.

When was the last time anyone alive went to the mill and bought material to make their own clothes?

I said this on facebook, and the more idiotic response I got was "hemp will replace all of it, Henry Ford used it to power his cars".

 

There's no oil in ev. Beyond production.

Correct. But you replied to a comment that said stop the oil and see how long EV’s last and you said there’s no oil in EV’s beyond production.

The whole push for EV’s is to get off fossil fuels according to the greenies when in reality you can’t produce their precious EV without fossil fuels.
