Hello All, I'm starting McElroy orientation 12Mar18 and have been looking on their website at the CPM increases and new referral bonuses they just rolled out and noticed this "Current Regional drivers are averaging 60 cpm for all miles due to generous minimum pay loads." Any current McElroy drivers have any information on McElroy minimum pay loads? Thx in advance OC

If I had to guess, they're probably typically under 300 miles. And they certainly pay very good to the carrier but they found the old wage system made it not worthwhile for the drivers, so they did what they should have done if they're going to take on a lot of that super high-profit, low mile freight
stwik, diesel drinker and OCC Thank this. -
OC, do you have any info on the minimum pay loads? I am looking at McElroy and I am curious myself.

Just talked to their recruiter a couple weeks ago in school. Can’t remember the details but it was basically like $100 bucks if your load was going less than 300(?) miles or something very similar to that number.

F those short runs.I tried it with reefer, they better pay you for every stop as there is more sitting than driving.

So last week was my first week out with a trainer and we had 4 min pay loads. Under 100 is around 70.00, 100-200 is around 150.00. Those numbers aren't exact so don't hold me to it. One thing I didn't realize when I started was a min load is really just a leg during a trip meaning if you deliver, get dispatched to your next pick up and hat pick up point is say 100 miles away then you get around 70.00 just for that leg and don't get cpm for those 100 miles.

Think what you will but the point is McElroy pays more than the normal .49-53cpm for short runs.

McElroy is probably the last mega flatbed company I'd ever sign up for, knowing what I now know.

So they flat rated your empty miles going to pick up the next run?
