I had a driver tell me this a few weeks back when he had more than one chance to get his renewal.
I told him that it is true but drivers are easy to find and the government doesn't say a word about drivers.
I told him get it done because if they don't find renewing additional funds for the 30 million unemployed people who they caused to be unemployed, they won't renew any DOT extensions. -
Good to go for another 2 years ^_^ -
Texas but the waivers are a nationwide thing issued by the FMCSA.

I renewed it yesterday. Waited about ten minutes before they called me back. No big deal.
My license is another story. It expires next week. Our license offices statewide are appointment only. I called to get an appointment back in July and the first available one was in November. No worries they said though the Governor has ordered all licenses remain valid until 60 days after their offices resume normal operations.
