My dad has been doing it for 33 years with no accidents, he just has to turn his head a lot more than others, but can back in to spots at drilling rigs that others are having a hard time getting into.

OK, I'm just curious here. How is your depth perception with just one eye? I'm not trying to be discouraging, but that seems to me like a legitimate question to ask.
Seems to me like this would be like most disabilities, in that you either can, or cannot do the job safely. If you can, wonderful, if not, the find something else. I did not know there could be a waiver when it came to vision.
Of course your biggest challenge is getting someone to give you a chance. Good luck to you, and may a higher power guide you in your course of action here! -
And your right, finding someone to give me a chance will be the issue. If i was back home in VA, i wouldnt have problem, i could get on with local logging company. About the depth perception test, i had to take a test a while back measuring my depth perception for a Government sandblasting job and the doctor told me i did way better than he would ever had thought, believe i got 6/10 right or something like that.Big Don Thanks this. -
You will also have to have medical waiver for your medical card which you have to have before you can get Class A or B Permit.

Still never said what State you are in, every State is different so it would help to know where you are?
