Medications are up to the company, the only FEDERALY disallowed medication is Methadone.

 

Celexa's generic name is Citalopram
Vyvanse's generic is Lisdexamfetamine

I looked, I have medical background. I didnt see yours on it. That doesnt mean anything, if the company says no, then no you cant use them. You said you dont have to take them , so dont take them if your worried about it and really want to drive. But you do realize the one drug (Vyvanse)is for ADHD dont you? Meaning you have a problem sitting still. What do you think your going to have to do in a truck for hours and hours?

 

The problem you face is that the medications are not specifically banned by the fmcsa.

However, many of the trucking company insurance carriers have their own ideas and limitations. Therefore, some companies have stricter rules than others.

 

You had better be sure of that idea, and you *do* have to list these medications on your medical card with the doctors knowledge, else you
could become liable, if an accident or other condition were to occur.

Both these medications are used for depressive-type disorders, so I hope you really have your stuff together if you go off of them without a doctor's approval, beforehand.
