So you get your trailer washed out in between every load? And your company pays for truck washes? You are already setting in line at the truck wash so you save what? 15 min maybe not getting your truck washed? Solid logic.

I work for a small company, our trucks get washed at random, depending on the bosses mood. Some afternoons, he'll randomly pull a truck up to the shop, fire up the pressure washer and spend an hour washing it. We have an account at BB, both of us road drivers are allowed to stop at random and get the truck washed, but it has to be reasonable (use best judgement) also. I usually try to hit BB in the early AM hours while the solar powered trucks are still sleeping. Usually I'm either in line with cattle trucks, tankers or dirt haulers. Once winter gets here, we're allowed to hit BB weekly, depending on snowfall/road grime.
Since I drive for Lyft on the weekends, my pickup gets washed every weekend, regardless. -
I'm getting the heebie jeebies just thinking about these dirty trucks some of yall drive. Ick -

BB paid truck/trailer wash every three weeks...plus wash bay at company terminals.
Normally I'm ready for a crappy Beacon every 10-15,000 miles. I'll wash when I get through a terminal as well. -
Our trucks are usually back in the yard every night. We have a couple of high-school kids, both sons of drivers here, who come in whenever they can to wash trucks. It usually works out to a truck getting washed a couple of times a week. As long as the trucks look good most of the time we let them pick their own schedule.
If a truck is in the yard all day and the grease monkey isn't busy he'll do some washing.
If a truck has been off-road all day and caked with mud the driver usually hits it with a high pressure hose before he fuels. -
Old company.....trucks were washed at our yard every weekend. New job....boss pays for any soap, polish, etc that we want and I wash it myself a couple times a week. Some of you just sound nasty.
Sumtinlidat, Ruthless, stwik and 4 others Thank this. -
Truck was dirty after running in rain off and on for two weeks. Looks like a few rain free days ahead of me, fingers crossed. Total time getting truck washed with 4 trucks ahead of me at a mom and pop truck wash. Two hours.
I even paid for it myself. $52 bucks for wax and hand wash and dry at Turtles truck wash in oak grove, ky. I highly recommend these guys.
